C-Span caller (WJ): "The media wants to destroy America." |
|
Edited on Wed Jan-31-07 07:31 AM by Verde
Where in the hell do they get these ideas? Do they even stop to think how stupid they sound before they parrot this crap?
It's an all Republican morning on WJ and it double as a comedy.

1. I can't believe this republican woman on now has actually traveled |
|
to the M.E. ?!? She claims that the Koran contradicts itself and that Islam is not a peaceful religion. I guess she hasn't opened her Christian Bible to many parts of the Old Testament. :eyes:
Oh those savages can't be tamed is what the next one says?
Do they know where's The Cradle of Civilization? MorAns! :P

11. And I bet she's never read the book |
|
And only heard selected bits from the Qur'an, including that 9:11 passage that said Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. Since she got it in an email, she knows it is the truth, doncha see? And why bother going to a library to read the book for yourself when you have nice, unbiased preachers like Franklin Graham to tell you all about it? :sarcasm:

2. Stay Scared, Stay Stupid, Stay Repugnican |
|
I just heard one lady claiming how the A-rabs were gonna subjugate all of us and cut our hands off and make all our women wear tents and force all our children into Madrassas...oh the humanity...
Seems like a regular routine on C-SPAN now...every week they do a "repugnican only" topic...but rarely a matching one for Democrats. Then they quote the Moonie Times smearing John Kerry & Harry Reid. Now they're reading the proposals from various Repugnicans in the Senate. Who cares...they don't have the votes to pass it and boooosh would ignore it anyway.
Welcome to DU

6. Thanks! I love the idea they have now that a madrassa is an evil thing.... |
|
When it means school. I guess that's on par with their thinking that educated people are evil. :)

9. Be Assured Those Are Fundies Calling... |
|
All the fears they have about those evil A-rabs are the same "ideals" they wish to impose on us. They're just so brainwashed and manipulated they don't see the absolute hypocricies in what they say and how scared they sound.
Of course these people hate education...it makes a person think for themselves and harder to control and scare.
Cheers...

18. A lot of stories have come out of the radical teachings in the |
|
madrassas in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. That is all that is known about Middle Eastern education and educational institutions. It's like everything else. Nutjobs don't differentiate between what is radical and what is the norm.

13. Is There A Difference In Her World? |
|
I doubt it. How do you even try to rationalize something so idiotic? It just amazes me what a bunch of chickenshits these people are. They have been so beaten down by their religious and political bosses that they now jump at their own shadow.

16. I don't know how they rationalize the idiocy...... |
|
but they are the same people who think dinosaurs were on Noah's Ark and the Grand Canyon was created by the biblical flood. When you can get them to believe that, you can get them to believe anything.

19. Religions Has Always Feasted On Certainity Of The Unknown |
|
Dare I say that the most religious areas of the world are the ones which offer the poorest education? It's that damned freewill thing.
These people live in absolutes...blacks and whites. They are conditioned that there are answers to everything...just they (and by their conveluted logic, we, too) just aren't smart enough to understand it. Thus they rely on others to provide them with justifications they don't have the intelligence or moral substance to think for themselves. Fear and ignorance have always been the greatest tools of charlatans and despots.
Cheers...

21. It's Not The Religion, It's The Charlatans |
|
No dumping here on those who choose to believe...if that's a source of inner peace, I see it as a very good thing. My bitch is with those who use religion to manipulate and use "god" to futher agendas. That, I think, we can find a lot of common ground on.
Peace and Cheers...

12. Yeah, I honestly thought that the quote must be from a *liberal* caller |

I was thinking "Tell it like it is, sister!". I guess it's one of the few things conservatives and liberals agree on, but in completely opposite ways.

8. The funniest thing is to go to Yahoo Answers |
|
and read some of the political/media "questions" they post, always implying that the media (with the possible exception of Faux)is biased towards some sort of "liberal agenda" which is always centered around drugs and sex and rock and roll. They especially get mad when someone cites a source showing a different view instead of taking what they say for the absolute truth about a situation!

14. It's Always Answering A Negative With A Negative |
|
Attempting to "logic" with these morons is futile. They are so conflicted now the only answers or reactions they have is to fear the worst. They've bought into all the Faux Noise and regime boogiemen that are nothing more than a continuation and redressing of the "Evil Commie" into the "Evil A-rab". Instead of stopping Dominoes fall in Southeast Asia, now they fear those A-rabs coming here and forcing all our women to wear tents.
One of their favorite tactics is to always frame things in a negative. It's so much easier to hate than to look at hard, cold reality. It's easier to fear a cartoon character created by a regime that does its best damage under the fog of fear and have polarized this nation in the process. Almost anything now these asshats say make them look sillier and more out of touch...and exposes them for the chickenshits many of us here always knew they are.

"WHY?"
Why would the media want to destroy America? Why would they want to destroy a country where the "media" can make HUGE corporate profits?
