...

First: No people on earth can be held, as a people, to be enemy, for all humanity shares the common hunger for peace and fellowship and justice.

Second: No nation's security and well-being can be lastingly achieved in isolation but only in effective cooperation with fellow-nations.

Third: Any nation's right to form of government and an economic system of its own choosing is inalienable.

Fourth: Any nation's attempt to dictate to other nations their form of government is indefensible.

And fifth: A nation's hope of lasting peace cannot be firmly based upon any race in armaments but rather upon just relations and honest understanding with all other nations. . . .

President Obama, Bring Our Troops Home!

1. Nobody in the current crop of Republicans is capable
of endorsing these ideas.

They just couldn't.

Yes, our troops need to come home. Hell, they should never have been sent in the first place...

6. As a GOP plan, this is ludicrous
Republicans could denounce the teabaggers and and excise the other nutty elements of their party. But there's no way they'd do a 180 and embrace principles they've long opposed.

I suspect the OP is having some fun with ideas that might be recommended for the Democratic Party. It strikes me as a not-so-subtle shot at "practical" Democrats.

5. 1st: unprofitable. 2nd: unprofitable. 3rd: unprofitable. 4th: unprofitable. 5th: unprofitable.
Therefore they have less than a snowball's chance in Hell of becoming GOP policy.

Free-market and all that jazz. :-(
