Everyone dies. What's wrong with being happy that a powerful bigoted war-monger can no longer do harm to the world?

I'm happy that Jerry Falwell's dead. Banana slugs are better men than he was.

18. Then you might want to reread God's Word. |

"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'" (Matthew 7:15-23)

but.... I am not his judge. I go way back when he started out and he was a great preacher... and worked hard to start the college etc... his views were not mine later on, though I understood his zeal for what he saw in the Word... he was faithful to that...
I shant defend him, nor shall I condemn him. That is not my privilege, sorry. I lift him as a brother in Christ and pray for his family today.
You have a gooooooooooooooooood day.

He was a man who claimed to be Christian, and who likely believed much of what he said, but who lived his life in direct contradiction of the Word of Christ. He was faithful to none but his empire of hate. He died rich, praised, and with a half-century of accumulated scorn on his lips--the three things Christ warned his followers never to accept in themselves as men of God.
At one point, he may have known Jesus. But the man who just died--if Jesus never knew a man, it was that Jerry Falwell.

You were so wrapped up in your needlessly childish and pathetic provocation designed solely to offend those who would find it offensive for sake of saying "hey everyone! Look at me!", that you left out one word in your challenging five word sentence.
Just giving you a heads up.
