In Manhattan, 2 blocks might as well be 20 miles. So quit calling it a Ground Zero Mosque.

1. Just plain bullshit.
Will it ever end? When it's built how long before some ass fire bombs the place.

One thing this country never runs out of is hate.

2. "Close" is apparently OK in horseshoes, nukes, and xenophobia

If your rhetorical opponent doesn't accept that THIS NATION GUARANTEES RELIGIOUS FREEDOM, there is no point in arguing the definition of "close"

3. It could be 6 inches away. If you'd let a church go there, you have to let a mosque go there.

Never mind the Constitution, it is just a piece of paper.

6. There are important events taking place all over the world,
but in the US all we get is perseveration over irrelevant nonsense. Yes, I do think it is "insensitive" to build a mosque there, but get over it already! They own the property and can do whatever they want, within the law, with it. Geez.

8. Will some DUer in NYC make us a video of the walk from GZ to the building site?
I would think that a narrated video of the (fairly long) walk from one point to the other, past shops, skyscrapers, intersections, etc., would demonstrate once and for all the fact that the thing is hardly "in the shadow of Ground Zero". Any volunteers? (I can't; I'm in Ohio.) The video would probably go viral if it was half decent.

As a bonus, you could video the walk from GZ to the nearest existing mosque, which is only a few hundred feet further away but has drawn no complaints.
