Question about cell phone etiquette. When a connection is lost,

whose responsibility is it to call back? The caller or the callee?

2. Whoever notices first. Sometimes, one party will just continue talking long after the connection
is severed.

Then, of course, both people call at the same time and get voicemail.

So, the real question is - who is supposed to respond to the message "I lost you" first?

When it does happen, I would think it should be the caller.

But, is and should are not the same thing.

4. I agree - often I will text immediately when this happens so we don't both end up
getting kicked to voicemail.

5. The caller.
Easier to text anyway. Small talk stinks.

6. My phone has call waiting... if I'm trying to call person X at the same time she calls me,
the phone just beeps and I hit the button to answer her call. No big deal.

8. Etiquette schmetiquette!
It's much more fun when both parties begin punching numbers frantically and begin an endless round robin of reaching each other's voice mails and dropped calls due to the same conditions that caused the original dropped call.
