conservative organizations, like the September 12thers, or whatever they are called, for supporting gay marriage. He's religious (or pretends to be) and partisan all the way down, but he's got a libertarian streak which says government should be even-handed. He says there are a lot like him. He's actually in favor of building the "mosque," too, even though he's pretty racist on a lot of issues. He's basically the type who assumes his white straightness makes him superior to everyone else, but he still thinks people have the right to be equally inferior to him. :)

And it's not just the theocrats but the social conservatives in general. They keep papering it over but at some point it's going to pop.
Even now, some of the Ron Paul people are starting to suggest their "revolution" got hijacked by the corporatists and turned into the Tea Parties.
