4. I like the sepia toned version of the eagle seal on the carpet. |
|
The couches also look more comfy than the old leather couches you see in Nixon/Carter era photographs.

15. Oh thank God! For a second there I thought Obama had had Dubya's mama mounted over the fireplace! |

I like the coffee table - hate the flag painting. The flags look sad. Interesting how they continue the wallpaper and wainscoting over the door to create a secret passage effect. Although, the door handle is a dead give-away.
Thanks for posting!

5. The flag painting is from the WW1 era. I forget the artist, but it comes from a simpler age |
|
It was from the American expressionist period. It's fairly famous painting among the art cognescenti

6. Only thing I don't much care for is the coffee table. |
|
Other than that I like it. The sofas look very comfy!

14. On its own the coffee table's kind of neat, though. (nt) |

8. I don't like the color scheme. |
|
1. The color reminds me of puke, and 2. it's too similar to DimSon's.
It needs more blue, like it did when Clinton was there.

I hated that last rug with the gold stripes. It was tacky.
This is relaxed and cozy looking. I like it.

13. I think it is lovely although a little stuffy. |
|
The wooden apples look very real. I like the flag painting but do not like the color of the sofas. I like the rug but don't think it is a practical color if you have a dog. Could someone explain the one blue pillow? I am not much into interior decorating.
