How are East Coast DUers preparing for the effects of Hurricane Earl? |
|
http://flhurricane.com/cyclone/stormspotlight.php?year=2010&storm=7I suspect most of the damage will be from falling trees and flooding. Hopefully there will be no tornadoes - people should prepare for power cuts.

I'm going to get the utility pump in the basement ready. Four years ago, I had to bail out over 200 gallons of water from my basement.

3. Although I'm inland in NY, due to a huge winter storm, many trees here and on Long Island |

were compromised. Since then, rainstorms have caused a lot of downed trees and power outages. If Earl hits, I can foresee a great deal of damage caused by fallen trees.
