We were both at the Pentagon at the same time... He, the number three guy in the USAF chain of command and me, some enlisted puke on the fifth floor A ring.

When Rachel talked about his crazy birthiness tonight and mentioned his name, all I could think of was how small this world actually is.

I used to listen to the local Pacifica station openly and was pretty open about my lefty opinions at work. Smart? No, it was the fucking Pentagon after all.

I think that I might have said the wrong thing to the wrong people at times... Strike that. I know for a fact that I blabbed more than once too often.


Anyway, the Pentagon radicalized me fersher... God knows what it did to the good General.
