For many unemployed workers, jobs aren't coming back

The U.S. unemployment rate will remain elevated for years, experts say, a grim prospect for Americans who have exhausted their benefits.

The U.S. economy will eventually rebound from the Great Recession. Millions of American workers will not.

What some economists now project — and policymakers are loath to admit — is that the U.S. unemployment rate, which stood at 9.6% in August, could remain elevated for years to come.

The nation's job deficit is so deep that even a powerful recovery would leave large numbers of Americans out of work for years, experts say. And with growth now weakening, analysts are doubtful that companies will boost payrolls significantly any time soon. Unemployment, long considered a temporary, transitional condition in the United States, appears to be settling in for a lengthy run.

2. "What some economists now project..."
no, what some economists projected almost two years ago.

Any one who is only now projecting endless high unemployment should consider getting electricity or a newspaper subscription.

4. Jobs will come back...
...once the corporate powers and our government eliminates the middle class and reduces our standard of living to the point that jobs can come back at $7.25 per day, rather than per hour.

And then all of our jobs will be those that serve and support the rich elites and powerful. And we will be glad and thankful that they let us work.

5. When is this president going to go after the massive fraud
and the criminals behind it at the center of our financial system. Why are there 1/6 the number of FBI agents working these crimes when compared to the savings and loan crisis which was 1/30 the size.

Why are these people allowed to devastate millions of Americans lives and futures without a even a slap on the wrist.
Where is the deterrent to future abuse, why aren't we perp walking these elite criminals on national tv and putting them behind bars.

Law and order, what a joke.

And now we will watch millions of Americans added to the food stamp and welfare rolls eventually hundreds of thousands to end up on the street. A few years and we are due for another "correction", it's still criminal business as usual on wall street and in the too big to fails.

The next one will be a full blown depression and it will permanently end the middle class.

Either we take down the criminals or they take down us.

6. The Corporations that control the country DO NOT WANT a recovery...
..they have accumulated Trillions in cash recerves.. while making one employee perform 2 and 3 jobs.

This Depression is no mistake.. it is a cold.. calculated... transfer of wealth from the working people to the Corporations.

8. Are Americans expected to starve instead of revolting? Some backs need watching, if that is the
thinking.

11. This depression, linked with technology advances will make offices museum pieces.
Call centers? Why? Work from home. Same for any business that has a cubicle past. Employees will be given a company laptop or made to use their own and report into a small physical office from time to time for beatings.

Oh, and 1099 everyone.

Oh, and no healthcare.

Oh, and no benefits of any kind.
