just askin' -- Snowjob and the war czar
in all the other news this week - this was kind of lost...

During the kool-aid and cookies presser - Snowjob was asked just what was the function of a War Czar

Snowjob mumbled that he didn't know...

Huh? A new position is created, someone is appointed to it and snowjob plays Sgt. shultz?

what's up with that?

1. no one knows
your question reminded me of this article:

WANTED: One Scapegoat for "War Czar" Position (18 comments )

Unemployed? Under-employed. There's a sweet job just waiting for someone like you at the White House.

Because some of the generals they've approached have begun to talk about it, we now know about the exciting new position of "War Czar." So far, for some reason, nobody wants the job.

I know, I know, you're thinking we already have a war czar.

It's the guy who likes to dress up in flight suits and call himself a war president (and who in fact is the Commander in Chief).

Beats me why we need a War Czar to run the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

2. The 4-Stars Are Gonna Listen To A 3-Star???
Someone made an interesting point here. Higher ranking generals had the option to pass on this scapegoat position. Lute is of the rank that didn't have such luxuary...he's been ordered to take the fall, and I get a feeling those higher up in the chain will make sure that happens. If anything, booooshie has now given the top brass cover as now all the failures can be focused on some three star ordered to be a punching bag.

Once this regime is dragged out, Democrats need to roll back the draconian and Orwellian departments and positions such as "Homeland Security". Yep, the Democrats should do something the Repugnicans claim they champion...shrink government and make it more accountable.

Cheers...

:hi:
