http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20016861-503544.html?tag=contentMain;contentBody
Poor neighborhoods in America demonstrate why faith-based values must be a part of the discussion, Santorum said at the Values Voter Summit, hosted by the Family Research Council.
"You will find no families" in those neighborhoods, he said, "and you will find government everywhere."

1. Wonder What the Republican Jews Are Thinking
Why would they hold this summit over the holiest day of the Jewish faith? Wonder where Eric Cantor was? Where do Jewish faith-based values fit into their scheme?

4. According to Ann Coulter, Jews simply need to be "perfected" into Christians.

2. I live in a low-economic urban neighborhood............
It sounds to me that they are trying to define a family as a hetero-sexual couple with children.

I don't think they have ANY idea of how narrow that definition for a family. What about Grandparents that take care of their grandchildren? Siblings that raise their sibling's children? The young man or woman that looks after their elderly Uncle or Grandmother? They are all families.

And that bit about finding the government everywhere in poor neighborhoods is a reference to the allusion that ALL low-income families are on the government dole.

Haven't they been keeping up things? Don't they know that the threshold for government help has been brought so low that even a part-time minumum wage job may disqualify the family from receiving many government subsidies.
