Moveon.org and anti-war movements were completely ignored by Media
Edited on Sun Sep-19-10 03:31 PM by rainy
even though we showed up in large numbers, staged events, and held vigils. We couldn't get any media attention. When we did get attention we were ridiculed, Cindy Sheehan was mocked, anti-war protesters were regulated to "Free Speech Zones" imagine that happening to tea baggers.

The media are just as much to blame for the mess we are in as anybody. Democtats can't win for loosing because if they try any real progressive legislation they will be slaughtered in the press. I think we should rethink allowing corporations free use of our air-waves. Maybe we should demand the air-waves back some how.

The tea-baggers started out in small numbers but got enormous coverage as if we'd never heard their hate messages before.

3. "The media" is about four corporations that fight against our interests.
We need to support the independent media. This may be the cause of our times.

9. the M$M is more concerned about the profits to be had from the military-industrial complex
and each major player has their own "pet" piece of that pie. So of COURSE they minimized the anti-war movement. If it was honestly reported then perhaps the wars could have been prevented (or cut short) and it would have cut into their profits.
