So tonite during the debate, McCain was asked what his legacy will be to the state of Arizona...
The moderator brought up what other past Senators have done for our state, including the Central Arizona Project which brings water to our desert...

McCain couldn't answer. He just bumbled about no earmarks (which is kind of the point) and his service in the military.. I didn't know if I should laugh or cry. He has NO legacy to leave to our state.

Please help retire this man by donating to his opponent, if you can - Rodney Glassman. $1, $5 - whatever you are comfortable with, and if you can't do that, can you please go to Rodney's page on facebook and give him a "like". Time is running out, and Rodney has an uphill battle. We need to show him the love as he tries to retire McCain.

Thanks :)

1. A Guiness World's Record for Pandering?

I wish you all the luck in the world unseating this cretin. If I weren't already bogged down trying to keep our own teabagger variety from taking Bennett's seat, I would volunteer to help more.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

2. You're sure to be shocked because you know how much I LOVE Facebook,
but how the hell do I give him a 'like'?

I ventured over, none too happy, but I couldn't figure out what it was I was supposed to do. HELP!

That is so scary about McCain! I can't believe he's going to be reelected! Once again, we're coming down to extract you!

4. It was interesting because I ended up in a live chat tonite and most of the people there were
voting for the Libertarian! So things might not be as dismal as they appear!

6. I just re-read your post. That kind of makes sense about the Libertarian.
McCain has got to be scaring the people in AZ, they sure as hell won't vote for a Dem, right?

Is the Libertarian as whack as Rand Paul? I've actually heard some relatively sane ones.

7. The libertarian wants to get rid of all government programs, all taxes..
lol.

What people don't realize about Az is that it's 1/3 Repug 1/3 Dem 1/3 Independent. So, if the independents go for the Libertarian instead of McCain - Glassman may have a chance. A longshot, but I'll take it!

8. Even if the libertarian gets it, McCain will be gone. We didn't have his vote
anyway, and good luck, Libber, to get rid of all government programs and taxes. So we'd be the same vote-wise, but McCain wouldn't be able to spread his BS and make us all puke.

Poor, poor Jill.

10. McCain's legacy is ...
Sarah Palin.

So he better hurry and do something great to replace it while he still has the opportunity.

15. unfortunately I didn't know about the debate
We did have a great progressive station here in KPHX but thanks to the Drobnys ruining it like they did Air America Radio, the station turned up being brought back by Dr. Ego and his Jarhead buddy Martin. Instead of talking about the debate on Friday they felt it was more important to spend the time talking about Martin and his not to wise adventure instead. Since the progressive community here won't support a real progressive that would promote such events to the fullest we are stuck with Dr. Ego and his jarhead buddy while the real issues of our state continue to go bad.

16. We need to start a movement to remove Martin. I cannot stand his show.
He leaves callers on the line so he can talk about himself. And when he finally does answer a call, he still talks about himself!

The only reason why I like Newcomb is because he saved Progressive radio for us. But at the same time, Big Ed wanted to buy it years ago and Newcomb wouldn't hear of it.

17. Ok here is the story on Newcomb
Actually the story on Newcomb is he sabotaged progressive radio after Nova M went under. Jeff Farias was working on starting a station and had several advertisers from the Nova M days committed to doing it. Newcomb came behind and lied to them and then they pulled out leaving Jeff stuck with the bills. Newcomb banned Jeff's name from being mentioned and even when Jeff told Newcomb he would be willing to help build the station back Newcomb told Jeff that Jeff would have to recruit his own sponsors, pay for his show time, and would have no input at all in what went on in the station. Newcomb lied about things. He said he contacted all former weekend show host and invited them back, but in fact I had a popular show on the station for over a year and a half but he never tried to contact me. I was there when he said that and I walked up to him afterwards and asked him if he knew who I was, which he said he did. I asked him if he knew I had that show on KPHX and he said he did but instead of admitting he hadn't contacted me he just walked off.

Newcomb started on Second Thought Radio Network that lasted no time and he took money for taxes out of some's check but never paid the taxes he was to pay with the withholding and when confronted to pay them he refused and told them to sue him. He had others he never paid one cent too. He was going to be the CEO when the Drobnys were close to getting Air America back but when Newcomb was mentioned as CEO the AAR people wanted no part of it because Newcomb isn't trusted and is known as being sleezy in how he handles advertisers and people.

22. Ugh - that is pitiful!! Here we have such an important election year
and virtually NO local talk show hosts. No one to motivate the base to gotv. Infact that Martin guy trashed Glassman & when Glassman won the primary, Martin had to eat his words.

Maybe you and Jeff should contact Ed Schultz and ask him if he is still interested in owning a progressive radio station in Phoenix ;)

and Arizona has nothing to show for it--form one of the supposedly most powerful Senators.
