It is time to remember who we are fighting against |
|
I think we have improvement since the '04 election but some of us want to see more. This is not a time to give up and not vote, progressives need to keep moving forward. Even though the DLC people don't want to hear it, progressives need to hang in there. The worst alternative would be republicans back in charge but progressives need to realize that we still have work to do to move the Democrats to the left. Getting a Democratic majority was only a start, there is more work to be done. The media is pushing these ideas that republicons are going to gain control with their fake poll numbers. I think that is to cover up the election fraud that will take place again this election, so like last time we need to call them on it, be ready for it and vote in numbers too big to steal or we risk losing the gains we have made. Progress takes time and big progress takes more time. So hang in there and vote.

Thom Hartmann is great, I listen to his show almost every day. I mostly agree with him.

4. Same things I've always been fighting against |
|
Pretty much summed up under the word "oppression," and I don't much differentiate on who is doing the oppressing. I'm agin it. If you don't want me to be against you or your program, don't oppress people. Don't endorse policies that favor the rich over the poor. Make government work for more people, not fewer. The wealthy don't really need a lot of help and support, no matter how fragile they are or how much they bleat. Workers need more support than robber barons, and deserve to share in the wealth they create for the country. Parents need all the help they can get, not more scolding about what a terrible job they're doing in a broken system that tries to thwart them at every turn. Peace does a lot more good for more of the country than war does; it does it cheaper; it does it faster; it just doesn't make for great visuals of stuff blowing up reel gud.
And like that.
