Poll question: Do you think President Obama will lean Right after his re-election in 2012 |
|
This will attract LOTS of bile. But seeing what has been coming out of the White House the past few days, and the attacks on the base and now teachers, I am not sure he won't drift off center as he has tried to maintain so far and will go hard right. He will have no viable opposition. So his place in history is sealed, in spite of the Orly Taitz's of the world.
Rear the reports; attacks on teachers, attacks on net neutrality and transparency, attacks on US for being "whiners", VP Joe telling us to shut up. And a HUGE list of disappointments up until now.

1. I was just thinking he would go left in Term II...People would know who he is, and |
|
he can slide some great progressive stuff in while the republicans are still trying to understand why no one likes them. I plan on voting for him again so I can criticize him for four more years...(He may shut down his email site...)

I don't even know if Obama is gong to stand for re-election yet. It all depends on how bad a lickin' the Democrats take in the upcoming election. If it is real bad, and Obama can't get it together by 2012 to help this economy, his numbers are going to be so low come 2012 he might step down and let another Democrat run for President.
All pure speculation on my part and it might go the other way, and Obama becomes a great success as a President after a rather rocky start.

7. wysiwyg for reals. so, more attacks on the left, teachers, unions, etc. |
|
he won't "need" anyone's vote, and if he's already gone to the dark side a month away from midterms, then one can only conclude that he'll tact ever farther right without an election in the wings.

9. Yup, 'specially if the dems lose one of the houses in Nov |
|
Which will probally make Obama a one termer as numerous dems start ignoring him and fend for themselves to keep their seats.
The (possible) good thing out of this is a lot of DINO's will lose their seats along with him. Giving the base a chance of rebuilding a real democratic party again to take back the country (if their's still one left) after the repugs have f'd it over.

11. Right? Righter? More Right? He'd have to make a sharp left just to be liberal. |
