President's Approval among liberal Democrats: 85% President's Approval among moderate Democrats: 73% But then, hippie-punching is more fun! http://www.gallup.com/poll/124922/Presidential-Approval-Center.aspx

1. "Reagan Democrats" have sabotaged the White House agenda more than |
|
any commie hippie could ever dream of.

7. I interpreted what he said differently. But I'm definitely way to the left of Obama. I think that |
|
the Democratic leadership in general drank the Reagan Kool Aid. Even Kerry who investigated the Reagan White House never speaks of their corruption or horrible policies anymore.

3. Unrec for "whining". This perpetual "victimhood" by the left is so tiresome. |

the small group of constant complainers on the internet (i.e those who use outdated terms like hippie punching) are the ones Gibbs was addressing.

Since becoming President he has steadily held extremely high numbers among the liberal Democratic base.
On the internet there is a small number of people who appoint themselves as the only true spokesman of the liberal base and they have gorged themselves on anti Obama critique.
Obvious these few individuals ala FDL who do in fact make their income from their internet activity obviously do not reflect the opinions of the vast numbers of people who define themselves as 'liberal democrats'. The fact that the President's approval rating remains high among those who define themselves as 'liberal democrats' contrasts with a very small number of internet voices who express constant and habitual disapproval should tell you that the people who claim to speak for the 'Democratic Base' do not do so and have no emperical numbers to back up their claim.
