Looking bad for Kendrick Meek in FL. a batshit-insane Rubio with a commanding lead in polls |

1. It's a split with Crist... |
|
there's no way that Meek or Crist will win if the two of them together add up to 65% of the vote...

3. Everyone can shoot me, but at some point, Crist would get my vote to keep Rubio out of the Senate. |
|
28 points down just weeks before an election is not reversible. We may want it to be, but it just isn't. At some point, if I was in Florida, I'd vote against Rubio by voting for Crist.

4. and sadly, if that doesn't take hold soon, I'm sure the statistical odds will make it likely that |
|
Rubio :puke: will win.
I don't want that, and I agree with your post...

and I am in Florida! It's depressing that the state party can't throw more money and support behind Meek! I know Gore was in my town today speaking with Meek, but it's just not gonna be enough. If things change by election day, meaning if it's closer, I'll vote for Meek. But, if he's not doing well in the polls, I'll have no choice to help keep Rubio out. OK, now I'm depressed again! :(

if he's within the MOE in polls, I'll vote for him. Otherwise, I have to vote to keep an EXTREMIST right wing hack out, who's trying to act all kind on TV. He is nauseating... just like Rick Scott.
Hopefully Scott is going to go down to the wonderful Alex Sink - she's doing well. It's gonna be close, just b/c it's Florida, and she's a woman, and he's a male GOP candidate. She would be the 1st female gov. She's qualified imo. I hope she wins. Mrs Castor ran for senate in '04 and lost to Martinez and seemed SO much more qualified than Mel, and surely was, and she still lost for the same reasons I said this gov race will be close.
But again, the last poll for senator here that comes out will make a lot of people take notice... I hope mr white hair has an ad ready in case it says what we don't want to hear (that Meek is way behind) and he wants our vote.

13. I know. I like Meek, too. |

Remember seeing him in a committee meeting his rookie year. But this is not happening.

6. All we need to do is donate more time and money to Meek |
|
and I can guarantee his polling numbers will improve.
Oh, and how about we forget about that conservative posing as a moderate independent who collaborated with the repigs for much of his career.
Do we really want a repig independent in the senate?

11. I really want our guy to win. |

But it is too little, too late for the dem party either here in FL or nationally to try and save him. They should have fucking done something about this months ago! I am seriously pissed about them dropping the ball like this. It's like they've completely given up on us and WE have to live with a weak democratic party as the consequence (not to mention either a teabagger or a wishy-washy opportunist!). Shit like this does not make me want to go out and work for the FL party because they do not CARE. I am phone banking for Sink but even she isn't making much of a mention of Meek. :(

8. Meek is in the house now isn't he? |
|
He didn't drop out to run did he? So if he loses he'll at least still be in the house? If he wins what happens to his seat? Is the replacement chosen or is there a special election?
