Monsanto Reports Loss of $143 Million, Wider Than Analysts Had Estimated
:nopity:

Oct. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Monsanto Co., the world’s largest seed company, posted a fiscal fourth-quarter loss that missed analysts’ estimates and said 2011 earnings will rise as much as 17 percent.

The net loss narrowed to $143 million, or 26 cents a share, in the three months ended Aug. 31, from $233 million, or 43 cents, a year earlier, St. Louis-based Monsanto said today in a statement. Goldman Sachs Group Inc. said Sept. 29 that Monsanto’s SmartStax corn seed, with eight genetic changes, probably won’t yield more than a less-expensive technology that has three added genes.

“They are going to have to say something about the yield performance of SmartStax,” Mark Gulley, a New York-based analyst at Soleil Securities, said in a telephone interview before the earnings. ..........(more)

2. Monsanto (R) mutating into FAIL
After vastly poisoning the planet with Mutant Seed and death-dealing chems that pollute our soil, water, and bodies -- they are catching some of their own toxic karma.

But the mutant crapola they have spewed will infect & bastardize the people and the planet for generations to come...

6. Might it be that you can't beat Mother Nature?
Natural biology works very well and is sustainable. It's the ultimate in arrogance to think you can do better.
