Fiorina avoids Sarah Palin rally as general election nears

October 6, 2010 | 1:31 pm

Warning: Sarah Palin can be bad for your political health. That's the finding of a new survey from the Field Poll.

Palin is scheduled to appear in Anaheim on Oct. 16 to help California Republicans. But it appears the two women at the top of the GOP ticket are opting to stay away.

U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina was boosted by Palin's endorsement in the Republican primary. But now that the general election is underway, Fiorina is opting to keep her distance. A spokesman for Republican gubernatorial nominee Meg Whitman confirmed that Whitman would also skip the Oct. 16 rally with Palin.

"“It is a national fundraiser and we are unable to attend because we have another campaign event scheduled,” said Whitman spokesman Tucker Bounds.

4. So,,,,,,
Some candidates are more than happy to get the nod from the batshit crazies (something that would make me puke) to get beyond other pugs in the primary, but then prepare to separate themselves from the TP (which also stands for toilet paper) because they know that the Dems have managed to get cast as the intelligent ones out there.

I'll go with that.

If the headline were "Dems avoid Obama as GE nears" it would have 100 easy.

10. When You're Winning, Everyone's Welcome
Looks like reality is starting to set in for Carlyfornicate...she's fading in the polls and my bets are her calls to the RSCC and Rove go into voice mail. Also while Mooselini will help in a primary among primates, when it comes to the real world and the general election, she was toxic in '08 and still is today.
