The democratic base will turn out
at least here in PA. I have been canvassing working class and lower middle class democrats. They are definitely planning on coming out to vote. Very few defections.

Also, The unions think that they can hold the House and Senate with a 5 city/5 state strategy. They are planning to firewall the house and senate with huge turnout in five major cities in five major states. They have counted the votes and think they can do it. In those states, the union voters will be contacted 25 times over the month of October by just the unions alone. I think people will be dragged to the polls by their union brethren (not sure if their kneecaps will be broken if they don't go! Just kiddin')

We are ignoring the polls and we are holding firm with our base. Trust me, we will drag them to the polls by their hair if we have to.

5. May the road rise up to meet me?
I'll have to remember the prayer when the going gets tough and I'm tired!

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Thanks.

3. Glad to hear things seem to be going well. I was on the "phone bank" last night...
for Russ Feingold. The big money ads of his opponent are having an effect. Even a couple "lean democrat" voters believe the crap.

Lesson: Keep working.

Thanks for your efforts.

4. ask people if they want a grid locked Congress
and focus on GOTV early.

Do they really think that if the Republicans get a majority in Congress that they won't slow walk Obama so that President Palin wins in 2012?

Emphasize their votes matter personally. The voter could PERSONALLY make this election.

8. I'd be more optimistic if we had someone other than Kaine @ the helm
Would have been nice to have come out swinging a few months ago.
