I heard tonight that my little fifth ring of hell community leads the nation. How fantastic.

This enrages me. These are folks with little, if nothing. On top of that, so many of these folks are veterans. VETERANS!!

When I read/hear about these cases, I'm saddened. Not only because of what happened, but because of my reaction. When I see 4 teenagers, aged 13 to 16 beating a homeless person with a board, all I can think is...

How wrong, how deranged am I to suggest that were I to come upon this scenario happening, that I'd bust a fucking 13 year old right between the eyes with a fist wrapped around a roll of quarters.

I'm ashamed.

We had a tragic case here in Mass where some kids lit a homeless man in a wheelchair on fire after savagely beating him. They caught the assailants and they got a slap on the wrist.

They know that as long as they target disposable people there are no real consequences, and often there is no significant investigation. Same reason so many serial killers start out targeting hookers.

as much as the kids. The kids are scum, but the police could do a lot more to protect people who sleep on the streets.

7. Our country has gone terribly wrong.

I'm 36. In my short life I have witnessed the horrible escalation of violence and cruelty in our society. I don't understand why it has happened, but I am fairly certain that each successive generation has less respect for society than the previous. I live in South Florida and I can tell you there is a generation of animals coming your way, with no remorse or conscience. They aren't ALL bad, but there are enough to make me worry about the future of our country.

Because ,Nobody has made that little psychopath aware that he can NOT GET AWAY with DOING that to people.

Too much tolerance for the intolerable in your fifth ring of hell.That's why it's so hellish .

I'd be there to remind him and draw a boundary ,made with a roll of quarters,while cussing a blue streak and flattening this teenagers ass on the pavement for DOING that.

Let me be clear I will not by-stand.

Perpetrating crimes for jollies is not CONTAGIOUS.
First of all the 13 year old thug is hurting someone someone not harming him.The 13 year old is abusing someone.
Why who cares, you do not DO THAT shit to people, unless you are acting in SELF DEFENSE or defending someone else from being hurt.

Perpetrators seek out people to abuse who are most likely unable to fight back.

That's why I will not by-stand because if I can help someone fight and defend them when they cannot do it, than I reinforce a healthy social boundary.That you don't go around beating up homeless people for kicks.

And it does not MAKE one magically become a perpetrator to stand up for someone else's safety sake ,defend them,and do whatever it takes to stop a perpetrator causing harm by harming the perp until he stops DOING THAT. Sometimes words go unheard. That's when you get a little more to the point and make it cost them personally.If it requires a roll of quarters in my fist making hard contact with a fucking assholes face than so be it. He must be forced to stop what he is doing because obviously this little fuck face hasn't the sense of compassion in him to feel ashamed enough to stop it by himself.So I will stop him for the victim's sake.Sometimes fighting IS the right answer.

Wanting to smack that 13 year old senseless was the right and natural response .NO need to feel ashamed.That is misplaced shame..A pacifist is useless against a psychopath and any other human shit head who would want to get away with hurting someone not causing them harm.

Don't listen to the pacifist pollyanna bullshit trip. Because this is misplaced tolerance of the intolerable,cowardice and failure to take responsibility for the well being of your fellow human being being abused masquerading s if it was a virtue. This fear of setting boundaries on thugs is why thugs like this 13 year old ass hat got the idea they could GET AWAY with doing that to people to begin with!!

I'd hug ya back.. help the homeless guy up, Than we'd take that roll of quarters ,yank off the bloody wrapper,give him a big chunk of those quarters ask him if he needed medical attention if so,make sure he got some,go file a police report, press charges,and get the little unconscious asshole with the red lines all over his forehead taken away,than if the homeless dude, and you were OK we'd all go get something like 3 big frozen cappuccinos.

Because after having to do that, I'd have to admit I'd be kinda shook up after I left the scene.I have PSTD and even though I wasn't the one getting my ass kicked it may trigger shit anyway.. I'd have to de stress,Coffee for me works like a tranquilizer dunno why but it does.

Than I would have a lot to say in my next therapy session..LOL

Sad but that is the fantasy alternate ending to that awful situation,that should have been, if anything was sane in this world.
