Bernie on the Hartman show
And the history of labor and how people take things for granted. Oh and yes Unions have to become militant. Yes, they do. It is time to stop this.

Of course I fear this will happen until the last possible moment, if any. Yes, I fear Americans do not have it in us anymore.

1. I'm listening
Bernie is laying it out straight with zero bullshit.

He didn't come right out and say the actual word, but he made it perfectly clear that the repubs and their megacorp buddies are trying to steer us toward the sweatshop model. You want to work, you get a buck an hour, and you can't complain because we're now in competition with people making pennies an hour.

2. That's been the dream for a while
To go back to the future, 1880 to be specific. But Americans don't know history, easy as can be then.

3. You do know how the media would be covering "militant" unions?
Edited on Thu Oct-14-10 11:45 AM by Billy Burnett
Just like welfare staters against welfare states, the media will massage the working classes against the fight for the working class.

Black is white.
War is peace.
Freedom is slavery.

4. But this is not today
Edited on Thu Oct-14-10 11:49 AM by nadinbrzezinski
We have always had to fight this. Difference is, Unions used to have their own real parallel media. These days, when Unions have given up the right to strike...
