In the meantime,News Corporation channels are blacked out for Cablevision customers. News Corporation owns the Fox network. The blackout affects around 3 million people in the New York metropolitan area and could leave them unable to watch the Giants game on Sunday afternoon.

The dispute made a foray into net neutrality questions on Saturday amid reports that News Corporation had blocked Cablevision Internet users from accessing Fox websites, including Hulu.com, which News Corporation partially owns.

Rep. Edward Markey (D-Mass.) wrote to Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Julius Genachowski on Saturday to raise concerns about Internet openness.

“The tying of cable TV subscription to access to Internet fare freely available to other consumers is a very serious concern. Consumers are losing their freedom to access the Internet content of their choice - through no fault of their own - and this is patently anti-consumer," he said.

1. And? What are we going to do about it?
When does the FCC tell FOX it isn't renewing its license?

2. No support in law for tying the license to internet filtering
Cable/satellite rebroadcast fees are still sorting themselves out.

3. Does that include Fox News?
NOW do you people see the problem? NOW do you see why we need network neutrality?

4. I'm not sure why we even bother to still have an FTC
They haven't done shit in twenty years (the boob shot at the Super Bowl being the exception) and are utterly worthless. Why not concede that there are no controls anymore.
