My prediction of the GOP/Dem pres/vp (unless Bush attacks us) |
|
Here is the way I think it will play, unless Bush bin Laden attacks us OR launches the bioterror card. Then, all bets are off:
Mitt 'Big Dig' Romney/Fred Thompson John Edwards/Barack Obama

21. my comment still holds--and military and CIA definitely have their antennas up about |
|
an attack from "Iran."
If Mossad, the Saudis, Pakistan's ISI, or any of the other black op players have a hand in it, they will either be stopped, caught, or publicly fingered.
Not incidentally, I remember something about Valerie Plame finding out about and preventing an effort to plant nukes in Iraq that would have vindicated Bush on his WMD claims.

He may be racist and corrupt, but at least he is civil as opposed to the hardcore Bushies who would gladly eat our livers with some nice chianti and favah beans.

Some people have advanced degrees in Snark.
I'll buy you predictions, but I really think Hillary and Obama will figure out that together they have an unbeatable ticket.

17. The corporate-owned media would love a Hillary, as the most |
|
Edited on Mon May-21-07 05:04 PM by rec_report
'conservative' of the bunch. If you recall, the media 'forced' John Kerry on us ("He's a closer!" Faux News beamed day and night... during primary season. They were *so worried* Howard Dean would get the nomination! Of course, all that affection died when Kerry became the candidate.) Now, Kerry became more 'liberal' after the 2004 'election,' I actually gained respect for him.
The candidate the corporate-owned media fears the most is John Edwards, as he is no friend to the corpora-terrorists.
As to Kucinich - yes, I like him, but he (as of today, realistically) cannot get the nomination. Polar Bear

That's what I see coming. The Republicans have no one but Newt wants it. Democrats will come to their senses soon enough and then Al will get the day he has been denied since the debacle of 2000.

|
get the nom. The OP's right about Mittens--he's a ruthless SOB, but hides it behind a slick, sunny demeanor. VP's are too tough to speculate on.

he would be considered too 'liberal' for the Reichwing and he's no one the Dems want/need.

18. Prediction: Newt will run, and he will LOSE the Repub Nomination... |
|
IMHO the closer we get to the General Election, the more apparent it will be that none of the current 10 Repub candidates can beat the Democratic Nominee.
The stealth candidate will be Hagel if he decides to jump in. He knows the third party route is a tough mountain to climb. If he sees an opening in the Repub Party, and the if the Repub Party voters see him as the only candidate with a chance in the General Election, Hagel may be the Repub Nominee.

24. the great thing about Newt is he would be utterly and completely shut out |
|
He's like Grover Norquist--he compulsively tells the ugly truth of what the GOP really wants to do, and the public will be properly repulsed as they were with Newt during his tenure as Speaker.

Voters want most progressive candidate, but we end up with most progressive that big business will allow to take office.
