Shooting at postal office in TN
Not surprised knowing a tad what is going on, what took so long?

I will not be shocked if there are more either.

Details just about to come in to MSNBC.

1. Not far from me in Memphis
I believe they are saying two women were shot.

What is this world coming to? I worry for my kids and grandkids.

6. UPDATE: Reward offered; case involves "disturbing violence"

UPDATE: $25,000 reward offered in post office shooting
Updated: Oct 18, 2010 3:06 PM PDT

Investigators were unclear as to the motive behind the shooting.

"How is any good going to come out of this? Because there ain't no money in no post office or whatever. I don't know what was the reason it happened," said Bobbie Fayne, whose niece, Paula Robinson, was killed.

Late Monday morning, state and federal investigators were searching for what was believed to be two suspects who left the scene in a maroon Chevy Malibu. Later, they backed off that description.

District Attorney Mike Dunavant said the case involved "disturbing violence" but did not elaborate.

7. Hubby and I were talking about it
he is a postal worker, and we smell more than just a robbery. Things and moral are not well.

In fact, this morning I wasn't surprised, and I would be very shocked if this was a garden variety robbery.

8. What does the Chief think?
I'm hesitant to leap to speculation about a worker 'going postal' in the absence of any evidence. Even though the only postal workers I've known said management has always been terrible in terms of the way they treated workers, doing stupid and oppressive things to squeeze more efficiency out of them--or just being nasty for the hell of it.

Still waiting to hear whether or not the suspects were, in fact, postal workers.
