Prosecutors Thursday cleared a Sanford police sergeant who was accused of lying on the witness stand.
Sgt. Anthony Eugene Raimondo was immediately returned to full duty, according to the police department, but he remains under investigation for possible policy violations.
The State Attorney's Office in Sanford on Thursday notified the police department and Florida Department of Law Enforcement that it would file no criminal charges against Raimondo.
