1. I thought it was a low blow by Angler. |
|
I don't like those tactics, it's bullying.
Although, I do think Harry could have a tougher spine.

5. Harry is an ex-boxer who has survived bombing attempts by the Vegas mob |
|
Harry's plenty tough enough, but sometimes I question his political savvy.

10. that's what I mean. I don't think he stands strong enough for the issues he says he believes in. |
|
And i don't think he used the power as majority leader wisely.
I think what Sharon Angle said was a low blow, that it was sexist and that it was a bullying tactic.

2. This is a staple: Democrats are wimpy men and manly women. Thus, REAL men and women vote Republican. |

Yes, the "gay" is implied in the R-W attacks. And when the "gay" is out of the equation, it's "adulterer" or "foreigner" (Teresa Kerry, e.g.). But it's always the subliminal "weak, cowardly, immoral, and just not like us."
The Republicans do "visceral" WAAAY better than the Democrats.

6. I remember Schwarzenegger's line in 2003: |
|
"Caulifoynia: Dode be economic girlymen!" to thunderous applause from the planted cheering squad. You're right, this is a constant tactic: portray the Democratic candidate as milquetoast, soft on ______ (insert any convenient enemy). Didn't they call JFK "soft on communism?" And Gore or Kerry "soft on terrorism?" And everyone "soft on illegal aliens?" It's always "soft on (something)" or "pals around with (something)" and that something is always the current bogeyman they prop up. Whether it's liberals, gays, feminists, immigrants, people anything other than white, communists, socialists, terrorists, whatever... the theme never changes: The Dems won't protect you against that horrifying threat, but we will."

7. What a gnat Angle is...... |
|
I'd vote against her based on that demeaning and erroneous comment alone if possible. Having grown up in Nevada (before the Reid years), the good people of that state deserves better than that. :grr:
