That's in addition to the inland hurricane heading here.

Gotta run out and get a new spark plug for the generator now.

1. We've got them here as well. Here is a blurb from Greg Forbes
Edited on Tue Oct-26-10 10:17 AM by LaurenG
Dr. Greg Forbes TUE Oct 26. Severe thunderstorm and tornado outbreak in MI, central and east IN, OH, west NY, west PA, WV, KY, TN, northwest GA, north AL, north and central MS, north LA. Severe thunderstorms becoming more isolated overnight in central and east NY, VT, west MA, NJ, central and east PA, MD, DE, VA, west and central NC..., west SC, north GA, central AL. TORCON - 6 OH, 6 KY and TN, 5 north MS and AL

You can keep up to date with him on Facebook.

edit to add, watch out TN and AL!

Dr. Greg Forbes SPC is going very high on the probabilities of tornadoes within their watches today, so my TORCON peak values of 6 may be too low. There could be some strong or violent tornadoes. The tornado watch for parts of TN and AL is a PDS (particularly dangerous situation) with the threat of long-lived and possibly violent tornadoes.

4. This squall line is bad.
It just blew through central Indiana. The weather service is just going ahead and issuing tornado warnings out in front of the line. It's that powerful. Also, the storms are rain-wrapped, and it is like watching a hurricane. It came through the Indianapolis metro area about an hour ago, and it did some damage east of here in Greenfield. A roof of some kind of manufacturing building was peeled back like a sardine can.

Indy weatherman who's been here for 25 years says this is the worst storm he's seen for this time of the year.

But just as quickly as it comes, it goes. Not doing anything here right now.

Stay safe and don't take any chances with this. Even though it lasts for only a short time, the winds with this are fierce.

5. Dang, there is an unbroken line of tornadoes and severe storms
from the UP all the way down through Kentucky.

The storm was strong here in NM yesterday, high winds all afternoon and into the night. Today it's colder than last year's love.

Stay safe, folks. This is the season changing storm and it's a stinker.
