Interest gap CLOSING. Still, polls are all over the place. Private polling, public polling...

All the polls, all the prognostication...it all comes down to GOTV.

2. The Holes In Polling
Minorities have always been under polled. They don't have landlines or have their numbers listed. I've seen some elections swing upwards of 5% or more due to those miscalculations. Add to that the growing number of people (especially under 35) who don't have landlines and have been ignored in polling this year and there are some groups that have been constantly under represented. While this could be good news to Democrats, much of this uptick in these numbers are in predominately Blue states. It could make a difference in the tight races in Illinois and Nevada, but it's not going to be much of a factor in "purple" or "red" states and areas.

Soon we'll see how accurate the polling has been this campaign season...there'll be plenty of lessions to go around.

3. The question is...
what can you do in the next five days to add more African-American voters to the totals? I'm taking an A-A young lady, co-worker of my son, to early voting on Saturday. She moved to NC from Pa. but never registered to vote here. Through Saturday in NC, a voter can register and vote same day. Is there some way you can connect to members of the A-A community between now and Tuesday to encourage them to vote?

5. And hopefully, AFTER the vote -
these constituencies (African-Americans, Latinos) will have a stronger voice in our democracy. They should not just be used to elect officials; they should have suitable place at the table!
