Would you accept Lisa Murkowski in the Democratic Caucus?
Yes, we'd all like Scott McAdams to win, but Murkowski is still ahead, and with the Election Board kindly reminding voters in the voting booth that she's a candidate, there's still a fair chance of her winning.

That being the case, my understanding is that the Republicans won't be giving her back her Committee seats (since she's not a "real" Republican any more), and she's probably none to happy with the way the Party treated her in the Primary and afterward.

So, while I wouldn't expect her to vote any more liberally on policy matters, I could see her going along with the still-Majority Democrats on procedural matters if she got a better deal.

Again, we're not talking about a choice between Murkowski and McAdams. We're talking about, if she wins, Murkowski with the Democrats vs Murkowski with the Republicans.

What do people think?

1. She said she would caucus with the GOP, and the GOP, if she is elected, will be more than happy to
give him his committee seats back. So, it seems a moot question to me.

5. She wouldn't accept it, so it's a non-issue.
Why do we posit these fantasy scenarios?

6. Yeah, that's what we need....
let's add another person to the democratic caucus who Reid and Obama have to work overtime kissing their ass and making legislation more conservative and watering it down even more than they already do.

No thanks. The fact that people are expecting Crist to caucus with Dems is gullible enough.

13. She's a Republican..
She wants to caucus with Republicans, and they will be happy to continue having her.

This is a non issue. No matter what happens, a Republican will continue holding that Alaska senate seat.

14. She hasn't lost her seats
She still is on every committee and still hold leadership positions and if she wins she will continue to keep those positions.. She is a hard core right wing Republican, make no mistake...She will be right back in the thick of things blocking everything Democrats try to accomplish without a single thought for the well being of the american people...There really is not a lot of difference between her and Miller..Just look at her record.. go to Lisavotes.com and see how she has voted over the years..
