Do Democrats Really Believe This 'September' Bushit?
Edited on Tue May-22-07 04:37 PM by spanone
Does anyone really think anything is going to change come September regarding Iraq?

This is another set-up. When we get to September, we will be 'closer to victory'. Maybe the Dems

will never learn.

2. I don't get it.
Are they trying to stall the war in september so they can do something good about it then, and then look good for November?

5. When We Get to September, They Will Introduce a "New Product"
Another Reichstag Fire to provide an excuse to escalate still further, and expand the war into Iran.

6. I have heard serious people from places like
State Dept and rporters in Iraq surmise we woil be out
within a year. I had not heard Sept.

I wish i could remember who it was--but somebody at MSNBC
speculated early on that the surge is really a way fo
get us out of Iraq.

7. It's hard to say, but...
I have read the rumors that Trent Lott and a group of Rethugs are ready to pull the plug around that time if Petraeus shows no progress. Everything, including what * says seems to gathering around a date in September. The tragedy is that so many will die between now and then.

8. I think the Dems are covering their collective asses. They don't want to
suffer through the politics for the next four decades as "the party that lost the war in Iraq". They are definitively making this Bush's and GOP's war.

Tragically, someone else's sons and daughters will die for it.

9. What we 'believe' is that the generals, Bush, and everyone else who's been pointing to Sept.
will have to be confronted with the inevitable failure of their cynical escalation to effect even their own ridiculous political goals in Iraq. I believe that will be the point where republicans will peel off from their support of the occupation. They should be pushed to eat their words about September.

10. Everything is event driven. What it comes down to
is I think the republicans have to make up their minds whether to further the war. The dems aren't going to stop them.

11. Repubs are splitting behind the scenes on the war.
The Dems wont end it because they're terrified of looking bad...as always...but the repubs will want it as close to over as they can get come next year. The ones up for reelection are already showing signs of unhappiness and distancing themselves from Bush and the War.The Party as a whole will not want the war still being ramped up after this year.

When Boehner speaks out publicly that we need signs by September you know Bush is a man without a country.
