If Kendrick Meek threw his support to Crist RIGHT NOW...it would not matter... |
|
the ship has sailed, people. It would be too confusing to people...IF this were to be done, it needed to have been done at least a month ago. Don't blame Kendrick...blame once again, our national party leaders, who had no plan to win this seat whatsoever, and here and there sort of supported Crist, sort of said he's better than Rucio, yada, yada, yada, and were floundering in a mess of their own making.

3. He'd also probably piss off a bunch of early voters. |
|
Early voting has been pretty popular (at least in my part of Florida).

4. Exactly. Crist's candidacy was an opportunity for a FL WIN, but the |
|
Party missed the opportunity and could never recover.
Thanks, Mr. Meek--you deserved so much better.

9. He won't announce who he'll be cacusing with--that's unethical enough for me. |
|
I'd vote for Meek for that reason alone. If I'm doomed to end up with a Republican, I prefer one that I can count on not to be counted on.

Is the party-switching what you mean by unethical? Because I think Rubio's agenda is far more unethical.

14. From the Florida Democratic Party December 2008: |
|
Everyone who has followed Florida politics for any length of time knows that Charlie Crist has had his own ethic problems involving questionable fundraising and travel, but recently Florida has seen numerous examples of Crist allowing Republican corruption scandals to continue to fester under his watch.
Crist's defense of embattled Speaker Ray Sansom, continued support for his hand picked Republican Party of Florida Chairman Jim Greer, and the fact that Crist bundler Harry Sargeant III remains RPOF Finance Chairman proves that while Crist continues smiling for the cameras his out-of-touch optimism and George W. Bush-like inattentiveness have allowed Republican corruption to fester, our economy to tank, and Floridians to suffer. Rather than stepping up to the plate and leading Florida during these tough times, Charlie Crist's only reaction is to say "Next Question."

15. No, he really didn't. And "adviser" did. Olbermann point blank asked him if he would |
|
do so and Crist bailed on it like the weaselkly opportunist he is.

17. He's been asked multiple times... |
|
and every time he deflects, and you can tell it's on purpose. He does not want to alienate his republican voters. Crist really believes he can have it all (in more ways than one, lol).

16. No, that is not what he said when asked in one of the debates this year. |
|
Crist has never, ever given any evidence from his own mouth that he will caucus with the Dems. Anyone who says otherwise is just making up shit to suit their own fantasy.

19. Crist lies - he's always lied, he will continue to lie - why believe him on this? |
|
THAT is why I would NEVER vote for Crist and have already voted for the one Democratic candidate in the race. Crist is just another Republican and would not have lived up to any claim he made solely to get Democrats to vote for him.

You are, of course, absolutely right.
The "problem" in that race is not Meek. It is those "democrats" and neo-democrats, pseudo-democrats, and para-democrats who are the cause of the problem. If the radical republican wins, responsibility falls entirely, 100% on those who failed to vote for the democrat ....not those who did.
