1. Wait a minute - 40 minutes ago peeps were screaming about...
"That whiny nasal voiced Republican woman has caused me to turn off my TV"
"These two Republicans are this and that"...

What happened?
ELABORATE please.

Thank you for your cooperation.

:hi:  :dilemma:  :hi:

7. Bill just confronted them with the facts
Like the actual film footage of teabagger violence. And his two craziest candidates of the week were Rand Paul and Christine O'Donnell. He made jokes about Rand Paul, his toupee and the fact that the only organization that recognizes his credentials as an eye doctor is the one he founded himself, and, for Christine O'Donnell, he just showed film clips and let her speak for herself...

But my favorite part of the show was his interview with President Carter... :patriot:

25. Well, AREN'T people falling victim to human sacrifices every Halloween?
How can you deny it when the truth is right in your face?!1!!

I'm watching it on the Left Coast right now, and you're right--it IS a good show. Thanks for countering the earlier hysteria.

4. It would have been a lot better...
if the National Review man kept his mouth shut. Made no sense and talked over everybody -- like he does every time he's on the show.

But I agree, overall a good show...a lot of good points were made, directly and indirectly.

8. Jimmy Carter the the opening guest was brilliant.
Edited on Fri Oct-29-10 10:22 PM by EmeraldCityGrl
He observed that the Repukes taking the house may very well work in Obama's favor.
He also said in his estimation Obama has done a remarkable job under the circumstances
and that he believed the country has never been this divided including during the Civil War era.

Go to HBO.com and watch when the interview becomes available.

19. Truer words were never spoke.
I'm so thrilled he is living long enough to see and understand the appreciation
so many of us have for not only the years he served but all he has accomplished
in the years following his presidency.

21. And he's still giving back and doing the right
thing with his work, 'Habitat for Humanity.' A good man, a very good man.

Poppi bush is out on his cigarette boat in Kennebunkport. Nice life.

16. I agree completely. He sure gets my vote...
Wait! He did! He got my first vote, same as Bill Maher's... :D Brilliant interview, brilliant man. He never disappoints. He also reduced our dependence on foreign oil by half, installed solar panels in the White House (which Reagan removed), brokered a peace between Israel and Egypt that has stood for 31 years and did not drop one bomb or launch one missile. I'd vote for him again today... :patriot:

22. Thank you. I've always believed that history will be very kind to Jimmy Carter.
It's gratifying to see that it's beginning to happen... Reagan also gets credit for the fall of the USSR, which actually succumbed to Carter's grain embargo. And, of course, there's Iran... It seems that timing is everything. :(

15. The guy from 'Bored To Death' was on
he lit up a joint on the show and passed it to the blond - she thought it was faked and sniffed it - it was really and she about freaked and passed it the the guy next to her the jerk from National Review.

I decide oh, hell it's party time and fired one up myself. So excuse any types, forgetfulness, etc. And uh mm these Reese's are really REALLY good.

18. Agreed!
I love this episode. It showed really that Republicans have some issues to work out in their party and that some have no idea what they are talking about. Zach is really funny but at the same time brought some silent wisdom to the Prop. 19 issue. Of course Lawrence o Donnell is great!
