Is anyone else tired of this both sides bull! |
|
Rand Paul and some commentators used it when talking about the stomping incident. Of course they couldn't give one example of a man on left doing this to a woman on the right.

1. Both sides are the same. |
|
I know this because I heard it on a TV show.
I will believe it until I am distracted by something else.

a Democrat was violent in any political rally. They had been using the 'they both do it' meme. They couldn't 'recall' one.

and they just recited the same talking point "oh, they both do it".
No they don't.
I don't remember a time when a bunch of CEO's were roughed up at an Al Franken rally or something like that, can you? LOL

4. Been tired of that bullshit for many years. The bulk of our "fringe" is center-left on a real |
|
real political spectrum while the mainstream of their party is actually extreme far right.
The whole "extremes" frame is a huge lie, a willful distortion out of a very limited perspective and/or willful deviltry.

6. Boy us liberals we are stomping S.O.B.s aren't we. |
|
If we are so bad ass how come the protesters and hecklers who are protesting and heckling about stuff the republicans blocked showing up at OUR speeches and rallies. Why don't they show up at the republicans rallies and speeches. Huh huh huh.
Is it because the ones who knock people over and stomp on their heads are really only republicans and the protesters and hecklers are AFRAID of them.

Extremists do exist on both sides of the spectrum. But on the left, they're marginalized and shouted down by their own party members. On the right, they're front and center. For Rand Paul to claim equivalence is absurd.

about how people in France have more vacation time than we do here.
Can't you see? It's the EXACT SAME THING! There are wild-eyed, violence promoting extremists on BOTH SIDES!!!!

If, every time this nonsense comes up, the person saying it had to come up with a similar example. And no, a sign at a rally isn't the same as a bootstomp. No, pointing out the lies on which Bush launched two illegal invasions isn't the same as someone gunning down a doctor in his kitchen.

Another Milder Example.
"Keith Olbermann is just like Rush Limbaugh."
Um, no, Olbermann can survive a fact-check. Limbaugh just makes "facts" up.
