HA! Ridiculous argument against legalizing pot:...
An obvious genius stated something similar to "It's bad because big government will get more money to waste"
Is this going to be their new stance? HAH! I wonder if they're against anything that grows the economy and results in more taxes collected... Seriously, wtf?

Just to show I'm not making this up, here's a link to where I saw this argument made: http://tinyurl.com/2fe4f8b
Based on this persons previous stances, I'm guessing he heard someone like Rush, Hannity of that really annoying angry guy on AM radio (there is one in particular I'm thinking about, he calls anyone who proves him wrong a dummy)

1. Over ten years ago, the NH govt knew that pot was their largest cash crop.
And that's fucking NEW HAMPSHIRE! The stuff grows anywhere. Hell yeah, legalize it and tax it. These idiots won't be so upset when they see the benefits. The pot industry doesn't have the muscle behind it that the tobacco barons do and yet even tobacco is taxed pretty heavily.

2. I just don't get how someone could be upset because it would create benefits...
Basically citing the benefits as the downside? WTF?

4. That's Republican "logic" - if it makes sense and is good for the country, it has to be wrong.

6. It's a weird disconnect...
I don't think they do it consciously either. At least not the regular everyday folks. Maybe just too dumb to think things through? I'm not saying I'm always right or that the left is 100% correct, at least it seems we (well, many of us) tend to at least think about the issues and form an opinion/belief based on reality.

7. The vast majority are simple dumbfucks. The few who understand are selfish assholes.
The latter group knows it has control over the former - and that's where FOX Noise comes in.

3. hmm...
I'm worried that legalizing marijuana would make people more comfortable with the idea of legalizing harder drugs and so forth.

But yea, the idea of the government wasting more money is kind of dumb.

5. I don't know if I agree with your stance
as we could say the same thing about anything that is bad for us. Particulary when it comes to things like alcohol and cigarettes. But still, at that seems like a valid point of debate. I curious if this persons comment on it is a common stance or will become a new thing in the future.

8. Too late; a drug more dangerous than heroin and cocain is already legal.
Study: Alcohol more dangerous than heroin, cocaine

11. Thank you!

What the hell happened to people? As long as you're an alcoholic, you can spend every cent and second you have getting sloshed, in your home, in a bar, at a party - legally. You can destroy your liver, alienate your friends and as long as you don't drive you can be drunk LEGALLY 24/7.

WE IN AMERICA GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO LEGALLY DESTROY YOURSELF WITH LIQUOR!

But by gawd, don't get addicted to anything else (legal prescribed painkillers being the exception, as these are Corporate Drugs - but not these same drugs if you have no scrip, then they are bad for you) or the world will come to an end.

I laugh, right before I start crying...

9. That's just an extension of the moronic "Taxes Bad! Gubmint BAD!" argument.
People who have a knee-jerk reaction to oppose govt & taxes & don't have two brain cells to rub together.

10. At best, that would be an argument not to tax it...
... but not to legalize it? That makes no sense.
