So, it ends tomorrow...
All the shouting, crying, pleading, fighting, door-bell ringing will finally end.

We will go to the polls, those of us who haven't voted just yet...

And the nation will hold its breath.

We will walk into that voting booth, and pull the lever, or punch the place, or use the Inka-dot...whatever we have, we will use it...

We might even write in someone's name, someone we thought should have been on that ballot...

At that instant, the fate of our nation rests in our hands...

It is almost a holy moment, the time to vote...

Exercise your right.

I will be there tomorrow, voting...

Come with me!

8. It's tough getting to this point, putting up with the ugliness of dirty tv ads, lies,
hyenas in the media, even the signs all over the place. But, ugly as it is we go out and vote.

13. Sister, are you kidding me? This is going to be awesomesauce.
We have our candidate (who will kick ass in ANY debate).

They have a hodge-podge of non-candidates who will be tossing leeches at each other for no other reason than to see who still has a pulse in 2012.

I have to laugh at all the times we laughed at Freepers saying that, but this time it's true!

I'll be so happy to no longer see NutMeg Whitless's face! And Snarly Failorina's too!

I only wish the rest of the country the same good turnout I expect for us.

30. Speaking of Meg and Carly ...
Why do corporate execs make such lousy politicians?

A recent LA Times edition had an op-ed piece with evidence for, and a complicated explanation of, this phenomenon. Having worked at a large corporation, I have a much simpler explanation.

Corporate execs surround themselves with sycophants. Everything the anointed one says or writes is treated as holy gospel. To contradict her would be blasphemy, punishable by being passed over for raises and promotions.

The CEO takes credit for any successes and assigns blame to an underling for any failures. (How else could Carly be proud of her career at HP?)

She can get away with this crap in a corporation, but not in politics. Reality will eventually puncture her inflated self-image.

32. My dear CaliforniaPeggy...
.
.
.
.
.
... EXTREMELY well-put.
.
.
.
Thank you.
.
.
.
.
.
In the past, the vast majority of any kind of award that I've gotten, from
pointless corporate attaboys to some that I've been very proud of... have
pretty much ended up in a drawer or a closet or a packing box -- I've never
really had a display case or a mantel where I show them.
.
.
.
.
.
But that little "I voted" sticker gets a place of real prominence for quite
a while after the fact (though only for about a day-and-a-half after the time
that I - no shit - decided to wear it on my forehead like a gold star).

35. My dear MiddleFingerMom!
I appreciate your very kind words so much!

I always ask the person who hands out the stickers to leave mine on its back. I always stick it in my desk calendar on that pivotal day...

And what I wouldn't give to see a picture of you with that starry symbol affixed to your forehead!
