We must be pragmatic.
Capitulating to a president with a 30% approval rating is stupid. Offering no solutions to our country's problems is senseless. (And I'm not just talking about Iraq.)

Pragmatism dictates that Congressional Democrats get their shit together and stand up for this country.

1. And winning means fighting on policy
... not just hoping the middle ground will drift your way through alarm at your opponents' (gasp!) partisan stance.

2. All press reports of this 'compromise' really make them look like pathetic little wimps.

3. I'm very pragmatic
I've got my husband's will should he be killed in the line of duty put away in a safe, easy to find, place.

All accounts are in both names so I can withdraw the money immediately without going through legal bullshit - should he die in the line of duty.

We have the maximum amount of insurance..should he die in the line of duty.

We've already got his plot - should he die in the line of duty.

Got the phone tree all ready for all those people I'll have to call to let them know their son, brother, brother-in-law and uncle is dead - should he die in the line of duty.

Got a lamp by the bed that is super easy to switch on - in case I get the death call in the wee hours of the morning.

Honestly, about the only thing I don't have covered is the answer to what I'll do once the best part of my life is killed in the line of duty.

Not sure how to be pragmatic about that

4. If only our leaders were half as pragmatic as you.
Then you wouldn't have to worry about all this.

Please excuse me if simple encouraging words don't meet the gravity of your situation, but hang in there. You got thousands of folks here hoping for the best for you and your husband.
