Lying teabagger relatives... |
|
I just found out that one of my relatives has defrauded the US government of $150,000 by leaving my sister and I off of a claim for former nuclear workers.
"Item #23 - Every eligible survivor of a covered employee must be identified prior to the payment of any compensation. If you are aware of any individual who may also qualify as a survivor of the deceased employee, provide his/her name and any additional information requested in this item. Under the EEOICPA, certain limitations apply to the definition of persons who may qualify as an eligible survivor. Eligible survivors of a deceased employee may include: surviving spouse, child (natural, step, or adopted), parent, grandchild, or grandparent. Any claim for survivor benefits must be accompanied by proof of relationship to the deceased employee. This includes, but may not be limited to, a copy of a marriage certificate, birth certificate, or adoption papers."
She says as grandchilderen we get nothing and the money is hers.
She is a teabagger.
She hates government and handouts.
Maybe she is just "protecting" us from that evil government money?

6. Relatives and money... |
|
we have a snake on my father's side of the family who stole cash, stocks, property and goods then had the nerve to sue my father and his brother for their share of the inheritance (which they never received). A fight broke out at grandmother's gravesite under the tent, she'd not even been covered up yet.
I just shrugged and walked away, got into the rental car and drove straight to the airport.

7. I'm bracing myself for the "Why are you doing this?" |
|
Yes, my sister told me despite this woman defrauding us of all the money from the sale of the property, family was more important, so she was not going to pursue it.
Seriously.
At a minimum, I'll just file my claim and let the government decide if it is fraud. I'm talking to the estate attorney first.
