I wrote in a Lawyer friends name, same situation. He's a liberal public defender.
In fact, I always use his name if it's a unopposed repuke, so does my husband.

I once got myself elected to the student senate at the junior college I was attending by writing in my own name. One vote and I won. It was the kind of election where they were electing I don't know how many to the office, and no where near enough students were running officially.

Luckily I'm in Maryland, no unopposed Republicans, but on my ballot a few unopposed Democrats.
Going back to Wyoming next year, though. And I have 7, maybe soon to be 8, cats. Lotsa possibilities for write-ins out there, I do believe.
