Turn out is very high folks |
|
actually higher than 2006...
I cannot wait to see that shitty mug if talking heads trying to 'splain this.
Turn out trends to help the dems... and unlike 1994 when it was lower than historic norms, this is starting to look like a trend. And I will say it now... we are in for a pleasant surprise... Chuck Todd will eat some crow... and that will be good.

I'm one of the many cellphone only users and so is my wife. I've never been polled in he 10 years since I registered to vote and also, never had a landline in my own place. In fact, many of my friends are still bachelors, and live in small apartments, and all use only cell phones AND are democrats.

24. People who are satisfied with Obama haven't been making as much noise. And really his election |
|
brought all sorts of people who had never voted before into the political process.
The MSM narrative is all about the "anti-incumbent sentiment" and the "tea party", just because these are the people who are the most vocal. And outrage gets better ratings than objectivity.
I said it in another thread, but its still anybody's race. Most of the races are within a couple points and we all know that polls skew right because they rely on old media and landline phones. Also, those voters who are content are probably less compelled to participate in polls and such.

38. I went to vote before coming to work; there were already 5 signatures on my registration "page" - |
|
(one of the thirty or so pages listing registered voters for our very residential polling station) and only two of the seven booths open for voters at 0730 this morning. The poll worker told me I was already #31; two more people came in as I was voting. About half the people walking around work have "I voted" stickers on their shirts and lapels. People are coming in early to vote. Last time I came to vote at the same polling station, it was around 1630 (4:30pm), and there were only about ten signatures on my registration page when I signed, and there hadn't been a huge turnout during the day.

they ignore whole swaths of the population. It may also be a higher tuning in, because in the US midterms don't have high turn out. (Ok let me revise this, as high as we started having in 2006, far from high really... still gona be under 50% nationwide)

40. The local NPR radio station reported that turnout in some Houston precincts is light |
|
due to early voting. Heard that on the way to pick up my kid from afterschool activities. When I got there, the block in front of the school was parked up like it was Open House Night. I had to park on a side street. Usually, there are only a 6-10 cars in front of the school at this time of day. Made we wonder where the "light voting" is happening.
