It's going to get worse before it gets better....
First of all, take a good look at Dennis Kucinich. His congressional seat, my congressional seat, is about to be drawn out of existence. There is no way he is going to survive this round of redrawing the map. Ohio Looses two seats. They will get rid of his seat and one in the middle somewhere. The good news is it might be Renacci's seat, the guy who beat Boccieri.

Now look around the rest of the country. Texas is going to get three more seats. So two seats from Ohio will end up drawn red.

And that's just the stuff I know off the top of my head.

Anyway, there is going to be a whole mess of moving around, redrawing and that means 2012 will be a whole new election.

It could go our way but it looks as if it is going to be dominated by the GOP...

1. It's going to get worse. Full stop.
This is why I've been pleading with people I know to vote Dem in the down ticket races.

7. Is that all?
Could you explain to me how that works? I assumed that the legislature just did it.

3. well...we've been there before.that's how it was when I joined DU...
We'll survive. We just need to stay focused and above the rhetoric.I plan to report on their congressional actions as often as I can ... as well as the expense of the wars...it's the promise I made to Monkeyman and my dad. They can't beat us.We can only allow it to happen.

4. This is big though...
Bigger than 2002 or 2004. Redistricting is about to take place in all these states that GOP now controls. Ohio, for one...

8. We will survive...
We've done this before, haven't we? I just keep hoping that the Dem losses will bring home just how bad the Republicans really are...

Once they're in control, and are wreaking havoc, maybe people will wise up.

*sigh*

Maybe Dennis will run for the Senate when his seat disappears?
