Okay so it sucks that Republicans won back the house |

but in reality aren't we really just facing two years of divided government. It basically takes the House, Senate, and the President to all agree to pass major legislation. I just can't see that happening. So the way I look at it nothing good is going to be done, but nothing horrible is going to be done either.
Then in the next election all Dems have to do is say the Pukes didn't keep their promises. House seats are always more vulnerable than Senate seats.
I am telling myself this to keep myself cheered up today. The only thing is there is the sick feeling in my gut that the Country and its citizens are in a time where we can least afford, nothing being done. Sometimes I am sorry but I think many voters are just too stupid for their own good.

1. It's true.. what we will have for the next two years is.. |

..just more government gridlock.. my fear is that the partisan witch hunts will begin, funded with tax payers' money.. we just have to lean even harder on our Dem reps and make sure that they stand up to it, before it gets out of hand.
(Yeah, I know how improbable that last line I wrote is.. but it's our only recourse.. we have to try)

2. Don't forget Obama's veto power. |

I'm keeping myself positive in the same way. Plus, think of all the great material that will be given on a silver platter to The Daily Show & The Colbert Report. When nothing can be done, it's better to laugh than cry. That's kept me sane & positive during my long life.
