Tim Kaine must resign as head of the DNC. |
|
Message to Rahm Emanuel: We're not so "fucking retarded" anymore, are we, you prick? Tim Kaine must resign as head of the DNC.
Message to Barack Obama: How on Earth could you, who entered the White House with a bigger mandate than Bill Clinton could ever muster, squander that mandate in only two years? Tim Kaine must resign as head of the DNC.
And as for you, Tim Kaine - how could you have rendered the Democratic Party so impotent, so sterile, like a tube of helium gas in a magnesium factory? Tim Kaine must resign as head of the DNC.
We, as a party, need to do some serious soul-searching to figure out exactly what the hell we were trying to accomplish in this election cycle and what we really want to do for the American people should we win the House back. Tim Kaine must resign as head of the DNC.
My heart is sick and sad over what has happened to our party in the last two years, let alone what happened to our candidates in the last 24 hours. Tim Kaine must resign as head of the DNC.
It was so easy. Combat the Party of No with a resounding Agenda of Yes. And our party leaders couldn't do it. Tim Kaine must resign as head of the DNC.
We want Howard Dean back. We want real Democrats to tell Obama how shit gets done in the White House and beyond. Tim Kaine must resign as head of the DNC.
For all this talk about "taking America back," it's time to take the Democratic Party back. Tim Kaine must resign as head of the DNC.

Then talk it over with your local party activists, your county party officials, your state party officials, etc. Tim Kaine must resign as head of the DNC.

What exactly has he done or not done. I'm not talking generalities here. I want specific reasons why Tim Kaine should resign.
How is he to blame for it ALL?

And that ridiculous "rebranding" concept with the circle-D logo that Kaine supported, a logo that screams impotency and mediocrity? I know some of you love the logo and use it all the time, but Tim Kaine must resign as head of the DNC.

No one has said that the DNC dumped the 50-state strategy. No one's posted a link about it.
I asked for specifics and so far no one has nothing.
I have no idea what logo you're talking about anyway.
Seems to me that a chunk of the blame lies with John Roberts, Faux Noise, and the rest of corporate media for their twisting and manipulation of the truth.

20. Obama deserves blame for not going after FOX News... |
|
...but instead giving them a front-row seat at the White House press conference so that they can continue to build their clout and spread their lies across the heartland. Tim Kaine must resign as head of the DNC.
I hear what you're saying, but this election should have been a slam-dunk for Democrats - Obama crested into the White House with popular support and plans to tackle both unemployment and immigration reform, and instead both get cast by the wayside so that all of his political capital could be squandered on that wretched "healthcare reform" bill that Kaine and the DNC supported. Tim Kaine must resign as head of the DNC.

One only has to look at how the DNC spent money and failed to recruit candidates during this last election to see the end of the 50-state strategy.

I confess I did not pay a great deal of attention to Mr. Kaine's day to day or week to week operation of his position as DNC chair. I paid more attention to Mr. Obama's day to day operation of his position.
That said, I was stunned, appalled, shocked shitless when I saw the new logo.
Not only was it introduced to great fanfare (really? you're kidding! a logo?? that's what it was all about?), but it sucks. it sucks dead toads. it is lame, limp, wilted. it is pathetic. it screams wimpy wimpy wimpy. Big D. Circle D. Big effin' D.
This is worse than GAP's logo fiasco. This SUCKS. REALLY REALLY SUCKS.
And it's indicative of the utter and total failure of Tim Kaine. If he's that bad, that terrible, that monumentally SUCKY at picking out a logo, he shouldn't have any more serious responsibility than choosing. . .. cripe, I can't even think of anything lowly enough with which he could be safely entrusted not to FUCK IT UP royally.
Tim Kaine must resign. Tim Geithner, likewise. The sooner, the better.
Tansy Gold, who thinks logos are very, very important.

The gubernatorial race in VA (the office he had JUST left to take the DNC job)...There just didn't seem to be any urgency in the race after the Dem primary, and after the loss Kaine and others wanted to minimize it as no big deal...The GOP had the foresight to know this governorship was one of the cornerstones for the framework of 2010, and they plotted and allocated resources accordingly...So now we have Governor McDonnell and AG Cuccinelli's fuckwittery to live with -- Do you know what it does for Obama's public opinion in the state when our own attorney general is in the papers every two weeks suing the federal government over the constitutionality of White House policies? (healthcare reform, climate change, GLBT equality, etc.)
Granted, the state party and establishment Dems in Richmond/NoVa wanting to keep a cozy relationship deserve some of the blame, since they closed their checkbooks or even defected to McDonnell once their boy lost the Dem primary (McAuliffe)... But Kaine is the one who failed to keep them in line and on message (remember these are politicians, donors and power brokers he already knows well)...So we are left with an unenthusiastic candidate with lackluster support and promotion while the GOP had been carpet bombing ads for months in advance...
Remember this was still when there was still a lot post-election optimism among voters for Dems...And Kaine, who did almost no mobilization until the 11th hour, had the nerve to wonder why so many Dems stayed home...
Events were set in motion leading to today, only two Dems in the SAFEST of districts are still alive, and we all know what happened in other states...This falls directly on Kaine, who should have the decency to step down quietly in a month or two...
Nevermind the fact that issue for issue, Kaine is almost as conservative as our current golden boy GOP gov. The fish rots from the head...If you think Kaine should keep his job, I'd love to hear the reasons...

Forcing hardworking Americans to pay money to bloodthirsty health insurance corporations in exchange for rising health care costs, diminished standards of care, and medical discrimination against women may be okey-dokey with some people who like to call themselves Democrats when the weather is good, but this will never set well with Democratic priciples that favor Main Street over Wall Street. Tim Kaine must resign as head of the DNC.

24. That's not my responsibility, but here's what is... |
|
...and I'm suspending my "Carthago delendum est" routine for a moment to better elaborate on where I'm coming from.
I worked as an election judge last night. My home precinct has been consistently blue since 2004. Reading the election results right off the machine (we actually have a verifiable paper trail), I saw that some large chunks of red have started splotching our blue precinct. I am the Democratic precinct chair for our neighborhood. That means some of the blame for our defeats on a local level rests on my shoulders, too.
I am seriously considering resigning as precinct chair so that another Democrat can step up and succeed where I have failed. There's a lot of Democrats in my neighborhood who have passion and drive to go along with their good ideas, and maybe one of them needs to be in the driver's seat for now.
So when I said earlier in my OP that Democrats need to do some serious soul-searching, that includes me. My heart is sick and sad over what has happened in my neighborhood as well as throughout the nation, where a Tea Party candidate could win a Senate seat despite his bully-boys stomping a Democratic activist into a hospital bed. Our party and it's activists, on an individual and collective level, need to grow a pair.
And that includes me. I'm not saying for certain that I'll resign as precinct chair, but I never actually considered it until last night. If I'm going to be pointing fingers, I have to reserve one of those fingers for myself. And it's a depressing feeling, but I have to do it.

The House is where the majority of our laws get their start. You think a Republican Speaker of the House is going to stand in the way of the threatened Grand Inquisition on Global Warming, with all of these energy corporations eager to pollute our nation into the Bronze Age in pursuit of one more fat roll of green?

And I would submit that he isn't the only one. Whoever is giving Obama "advice" is either an idiot or intent on destroying not just Obama, but the entire Democratic Party. Unless Obama makes some radical changes in both personnel and policies, I refuse to lend any support to him if he tries for a second term. I have reached the end of my patience with half-assed, butt-kissing, capitulating DINOs and promise to ACTIVELY work against them next go around. I am FAR from alone.
