|
http://theweek.com/article/index/208843/the-most-expensive-midterms-ever-by-the-numbersSO. I'M CERTAIN THAT THEY WILL BE FULLY AND QUICKLY WILLING TO SPEND THAT SORT OF MONEY UPON PROGRAMS WHICH WILL HELP THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. RIGHT? It's a good talking point.

the amount of money going into campaigning these days is obscene.
I guess its the republicans doing their part to trickle down domes of that cash?

3. It won't hurt to keep asking them about that, over and over. |
|
Shame them into something resembling positive action.

how much good could have been done if the republicans cared about the american people and put that money into social programs, even if it was just soup kitchens.

4. OMG! How many school lunches would that have bought? |
|
Edited on Thu Nov-04-10 04:19 PM by McCamy Taylor
Answer: about 800 million! That is a lot of children that could have been fed.
Instead, they used it to buy about 20-30 House seats and maybe a couple of Senate seats. The rest they would have gotten anyway from the normal midterm party out of power effect. That's a lot of money to spend just to throw up some more gridlock. Those House hearings we have been hearing so much about had better be something. I expect showgirls, flaming hoops, trained tigers---the whole works---if it cost them $1.6 billion to produce them.
