Concerning Republicans filibustering when the debt ceiling needs to be raised...

Won't happen.

Their overlords on Wall Street will not permit them to take an action that would cause the U.S. Government to default on its debts and plunge the entire world into economic chaos.

Rand Paul might think he has power and can filibuster the raising of the debt ceiling.

But the people who paid for his campaign will not let him do so.

2. Wall Street and the world's financial giants are more powerful than any Senator

...they'll crush any Senator like a bug that would attempt such a thing.

3. I don't agree with your theory.
Some are crazy enough to do it. Rand Paul would.

5. The Senate can reject any member for any reason
I think Mitch and the boys will have a little talk with Rand before he is seated.

Or they may like with DK in the House allow him a few moments to make his point but the majority leader would have to agree to that as well.

7. Once he's sworn in they can', and they won't.
Rand will be allowed to call a filibuster, and the A few Republican's will support Democrats in ending the filibuster, so he can fulfill his pledge to the Teafucks.

The Senate is not going to reject an elected Senator that way.

I don't subscribe to he Banks are running the world theory.

10. I don't thinkt the Senate would actually reject a member
either. And I don't think the bankers control the whole world. But I think it would be an incredibly dangerous stunt for the Senate GOPers to sanction. Everyone will be looking in from London. China, Singapore. All this to please the knuckle draggers in and outside of Kentucky? Kind of risky to a party wanting to capture the Senate in 2012. Doesn't exactly generate confidence in their governing ability.

4. We may get our "read my lips" moment.
There could go the GOP house in 2012, just by agreeing to raising the debt ceiling. Of course they HAVE to because the ruling class demands it.

6. Wall Street will eventually position itself for a crash in the bond market.
Hopefully it won't be this time.

8. They can shut down the Government but they will not. Gingrich
did that and there was a backlash against Republicans.

Boehner is not Gingrich. McConnell is not Gingrirch
DeMint(Tea Baggers Godfather) is not Gingrich.

You better believe they have figured out what they can
and cannot get away with.

Political Gotcha's will be more likely.

9. Agreed, they won't be allowed to dare
No upsetting of almighty capitalism is allowed.

Bedsides, Rand Paul loves and worships capitalism. He wouldn't do this to them.
