Pretty screwed here in NM
Source: NM Independent

Chairman of the Governor-Elect Martinez Transition Committee Heather Wilson said, “Susana Martinez is someone who has an outstanding record of accomplishment. I am honored to serve as chairman of her transition committee. In the coming days and weeks, we will focus on finding individuals who will work day and night to deliver on Susana’s vision of a new direction for New Mexico.”

Not sure how employing more of the same is giving NM a new direction? We're screwed here folks.

4. Yes, Martinez being elected Governor is pretty horrendous, but
Edited on Thu Nov-04-10 10:19 PM by abq e streeter
we still have a lot of Democrats in key elected offices. Martin Heinrich was re-elected; we still have two Democratic Senators etc. But yeah, Susanna Martinez is possibly even more despicable than Heather Wilson, and that's setting the bar for being despicable pretty high.

7. Ugh
I am personally disgusted by Susana Martinez's victory. It bugs me that the citizens here in NM don't see the hidden agenda he has, and the fact that Diane Denish would take us to new heights. They missed that, and it made me sad. I am very concerned for the state right now. Susana Martinez does not have a living clue on how to be a public administration official. Her background in law will only carry her so far. I think she ran a very dirty campaign, as opposed to Diane Denish, and I think she is just going to worry about her special interest friends, and not even be concerned for the working class of New Mexico. I think small businesses are going to suffer because instead of tax breaks going to them, they are going to go the big corporations that paid for her campaign. I am very sad and disgusted at our new governor. God Bless You Diane Denish for keeping your ideals throughout the entire campaign, and not faltering against the idiot that you were running against.

Now, I am also very very sad to see Congressmen Teague here in District 2 lose. I think he is one of the most honorable, respectable, wise, and all around greatest leaders that has ever served in New Mexico. Throughout his entire run as Congressman, he was very concerned for the working class, made great bounds in the area of homeless veterans. I am a filmmaker and I produced a documentary about homeless veterans, and I interviewed him for the documentary, and the passion he has for homeless vets is absolutely astounding. He is a great man, and I am sad to see him lose to such a corrupt and horrible individual as Steve Pearce is. Steve Pearce does nothing but get involved in fraud scandals, fight for tax breaks to oil companies, and being not concerned for his district.

I am very disappointed, but I look forward to 2012.

9. We here in Arizona can feel your pain...
And have been able to since that execrable piece of shit Janet Napolitano deserted us...!

And left us to the tender mercies of jan brewer and the bat-shit crazy neo-nazi legislature...without a filter...
