Snopes has debunked the "$2 billion Obama trip to India" lie
I found out about this today when my self-destructive RW uncle texted it to me, along with a "get over it!" message. I said I would get over it just like the Repubs did in 2006 and 2008.

Anywho, here's the link to the debunking, since apparantly it's the "screamfest of the day" on the RW media shows:

http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/india.asp

Incidently, since he owes all of his current prosperity and his position in the solid middle class to liberal policies (state university, federal loans, union member, and public-school teacher) he should rethink his priorities.

2. We should make a big deal about it.
NEVER trust anything from the right wing - they are bonkers.

4. Supporting, defending, and voting for Republicans
He's been this way ever since 9/11. It was from him I first heard about the "ground zero mosque" and he was getting all agitated about it.

13. Yeah, my uncle
six-figure salary as a school teacher, summers off, no wife, no kids, owns a second income property. All because of cheap higher education, cheap student loans, federal grants, a union, and a public school system that pays him.

And now he thinks the Repubs are hot shit. :eyes:

8. 200 million per day times 10 days
Even if he was taken 3000 people that would equate to $66,000 per day per person. Still I can guarantee that some right winger at work will either send me an email or bring it up in conversation. As far as they are concerned, it's true. Doesn't matter that it is debunked or not. As soon as it is put in an email and sent around, it's fact.

9. Don't you know that Snopes has been exposed as a LIBERAL website?
Mostly by Fox watchers and because Snopes.com calls bullshit (with facts) on all of the whacko Fox rumors/news stories.

Me personally I thank you for the link! ;)

10. But of course we all know that...
...the lie will spread throughout the right-wing echo chambers and talk radio and the (R)'s will believe it all, eat it right up without checking it, because it's what they want to believe, and they know there are a lot of gullible people out there, so they will include it in the next batch of political ads, and no one will bother to check.
Is my cynicism showing?

20. It is part of dod budget for the squadron responsible
For presidential transport...

It is buried in the DOD budget for their annual expenditures.

I really don't feel like digging that deep.

Here is some info...
