Why call them Bush tax cuts? |
|
Why not refer to them as Bush tax bailouts for the rich? It seems we do a disservice to our cause when we refer to them as "Bush" tax cuts? Do we call them the "Bush wars in Iraq and Afghanistan"?
Do you think Rove would let the minions ever refer to something as the "Clinton clean air act"? Because instinctively you want clean air, right?
Later on this week we should get a report detailing how millions (12 million?) of jobs can be created if we don't extend the tax cuts to the wealthy. Just call it a tax bail out, because historically they have had to pay higher until Reagan got in power.

1. Why is that so easy for us to understand? |
|
And so difficult for anybody in the White House to comprehend?
If you fail to counter the bullshit it becomes fact - even though it's still bullshit.

4. You mean tax cuts for everyone up to $250K. |
|
It may seem like nitpicking, but I think we should emphasize that EVERYONE, even the extremely rich, would continue to get tax cuts on their first $250,000 of earnings.

3. Yes, call them Bush tax cuts "FOR THE RICH". |
|
That is a very easy way to stop it. Republicans are meticulous in their choice of words and their spin of course is always to their advantage.
They are also in the process of REFRAMING the term " healthcare reform" to favor them.....they are now calling it "healthcare spending" (which will feed right into their spending-cut platform).
Would it be so difficult for Democratic pundits to correct them on this?
