One was the guy in charge of Iraq's unconventional weapons programs. He totally spilled the beans about the full nature and extent of Iraq's unconventional weapons programs before the 1991 Gulf War.

As of 2002 his information was the single most important source of information about Iraqi WMD programs. His information was quoted authoritatively as the backbone of our whole sense of the history of Iraqi WMD, and of the UN disarmament efforts in the 1990s.

All his information checked out.

During the time he was being debriefed by us we asked, of course, what ongoing programs Iraq had.

None. They were all dismantled after the 1991 Gulf War. Period. Not active programs. No stockpiles. No nothing. And this fellow was in a position to know since he was one of the main people in charge of dismantling/destroying it all.

Why was information from our single most trusted (and checked out and verified) source on Iraqi WMD simply ignored on that point while we credited and acted upon everything else he said?

Repugs sold the evil dictator the WMDs. Expiration dates are questionable on them.

They weren't used against our troops in '03, as far as we know.

If the evil Hussein - who the US installed in Iraq 3 decades ago (after our troubles with our Iranian Embassy) - if the Iraqi dictator actually WAS making WMD's, then those weapons have been missing in action for 7 years, since the little nazi-repug prince took him out.

If there are WMDs, then the repugs have WMD's, with Hussein's fingerprints on them. History has shown that they don't mind a little 'collateral damage', in the form of dead US citizens, if it will prove their point and advance their political (nazi) agenda.
